'Big Hero 6': The Science Behind Baymax, Disney's Big, Soft Robot

the creativity behind a soft skinned robot is great! when you think of a robot you think of hard metal and cold. but after watching the trailers and reading the article you can see all of the work and skill that went in to making a robot that gives a warm and soft look. one that can be hugged and not get hit in the head by a bolt.
within the article people commented say how the robot should not have sausage like fingers and needs to have more of a harder body type but you never know maybe this is a new season of robot that we could start seeing more often.

Black holes, space travel and the science of the movie "Interstellar"

the topic that this article speaks about is one that I know very well. after reading and also watching the video clips the rendition of a black hole was spot on. and how they took the equations and broken them down to a form that could be placed within a computer and get not just a black hole and I realist model of gravity being manipulated in a scale model really jumped out to me. and knowing that a Black Hole dose not have a visible event horizon makes this effect a real looking out. real enough that since you have never seen one before you can look at it a know what it is just like that. and from the article they say how they were worried that it was going to look to science fiction to seem real but they really pulled it off

10 Tips for Creating Storyboards from Dreamworks

Within the article the tips given are to help the reader being to storyboard like the pros at DreamWorks. one of the tips for an example is to show depth within the drawings. Always incorporate detail within a storyboard to give the animator and camera operator a better look at what the shot is suppose to look like and to see in what ways to accomplish the task.
Another tip that would be a great help is frame the characters well. Not to have them half off of the screen but also not squeezed down to fit the paper. the storyboarding is a large part of per-production and one of the most important. when you have solid bases that is when you can start building and make tweaks as you go along. in my personal opinion.

The Psychology of Scary Movies

Within the article and attached video s goes on to say that scary movies are made to a science. the video and article say that the human brain sees and ear in many ways. It's almost like need crave to be frightened and to be scared. That why we go and see scary movies and I going to assume is the same reason we go to haunted houses, to subject our minds to our fear and almost faces them.
Also we were by the video to get affection of our counterparts we go and subject ourselves to the horror and discussed to be able to cuddle up and get that feeling. and from a personal stand pion. I can see where all of this makes cense. even though I work in a haunted house and have gotten use to the sights and sounds of what everyone else fears I still find my self going to at less one haunted house to get the rush of fear and I still go out to midnight screening of the latest horror movie with friends to get the rush and need for fear.
