Why Cartoonists Are Flooding YouTube, Risks and All

Article

In this day and age more and more people are watching TV over the internet and lass on TV's. Which means that of your audience is leaving you and going somewhere cartoonists are going to move where they can create this films and videos. there was some talk with years to come that TVs will become old new and the internet is the way to watch television. it states within the article it says "An in-house animator working on advertisements in 2008, his short animated film about a cat blew up online, leading him to create what has become the second largest animation channel on YouTube, with over 2.9 million subscribers and 500 million views. In tow are four books, two apps and loads of merchandise. The success of Simon's Cat is surprising, given that the episodes are in black and white, without dialogue and don't follow a strict airing schedule." So there's some up side and downs side but wherever the media moves to the viewers and animators will be there.

Anatomy in games: An evolution of realism

Article

with in the article it states that though out the many years that video games have been around that characters have advanced greatly. Characters for video games now look acted and sound like realist people. with in the article it said "
Technological advances in hardware and software have allowed video-games producers to create increasingly complex depictions of their characters. With respect to visual depictions of human anatomy in video-games, we have seen characters evolve from two- dimensional collections of pixels into highly-realistic three-dimensional creations capable of the finest facial expressions. To a biological scientist, this ‘evolution’ mimics what we observe in nature; a process of hundreds of thousands of minuscule changes, which result in increasingly more complex and sophisticated organisms." And now the industry for this now technology is being used more and more now in this day and age.

Opinions

Pixar Makes Painterly CG: New Research Could Change The Look of Their Films

Article

Within this article it states through videos and the article its self that there is a new kinda of technology to make animation more easier to create. "With this new technique, an artist can paint 2D illustrations over a handful of the CG keyframes (“one every 10 to 20 frames”), and the software will fill in the hundreds of inbetweens while maintaining temporal coherence and the desired painterly style. The move away from photorealism has been a longstanding goal of animation artists." This will make all new types of animated films new and new render styles that could end up being the normal way to make films in the futures.
