The Revolution Won’t Be Televised – 4 Reasons the Future of Filmmaking is Online.

Article:
in the article it stats that a company called the online platform wants to broadcast television show online rather than on television.  and these really looks like it could be in close future. it is low cost to do and high quality to many. stated in the article "This willingness of the audience to venture outside television shows that it is the quality of the programming that matters most to the audience and not the medium it is shown on. This is where accessibility becomes central to online programming. It needs to be as accessible, if not more so, than television and film." And this so called revulsion will not be televised one day you can wake up and have your tv tell you that there will be no more broadcastings and everything is on the internet.

Opinions:
I think that television said stay the way it is and the internet as well.
yes is there a bigger control on what you can and can not see on the internet but thats not always a good thing.

Question:

FRANKENWEENIE: Sparking Connections.

Article:
Many film makers have a way of creating different emotions within our selfs. And in this case with the little boy in the article he really got attached to the character "Sparky" from one of Tim Burtons films. this bot what diagnosed with autism. which leaves the person speechless and closed out to the world. but once he saw the trailer for the Tim Burton movie he started to talk and quote the trail the really put a smile on the little boys face as well did the parents.to some movies are just movies but to others they are an escape to a whole other world. where you can do anything you want. And in Tim Burtons movie his concept of the world is a little wacky but his own.

Opinions:
I have watched many of tim burtons films and are in love with them, I love the way he uses stop motion.
I think that everyone has a way of thinking and reasoning and this little boy find the thing that he loves in these movies.

Questions:
I wonder what inspired Tim Burton to make he's films the way he dose.

10 Common Elements Of Award Winning Screenplays

Article:

There are many things that can be done to portray a screenplay. According to the article staying true to the stories intentions is critical to portraying a quality film. In many movies the character/hero not just one, but to or more problems to solve. The first main problem will be obvious. Although the second problem will be more concealed to the viewer's knowledge. This second dilemma will usually will aid in the completion in the primary situation. Strong Openings are a big part of writing screenplays. Opening sense usually dictate the general tone of the story. In the article some examples of opening sense are “You need to be a rich sonabitch to kill someone in this town and get away with it.”

Opinions:

The elements that I put in the article are what I believe are the most important ones.

And these are the building blocks to what I believe are the beginnings to a grate film.

Question:

What quality movie has these elements and remained true to its story?

5 things to learn about editing from Dan Lebental

Articles:

Five things to learn about editing from Dan Lebental is that there is more to video editing than one might think, such as pleasing the master, and timing the story correctly. For example the movie he had to edit was Iron Man. Iron Man had many difficulties, such as the five million dollar discussions about if they should keep the comedy that was in there or cut it out completely and stay rooted to hard action and conflict and drama. Another was the decision to keep the scene where Iron Man (Tony Stark) fights his old captors or not. A big responsibility is to figure out the tone, not to just cut the story, said by Dan. Many films portray a weak message do to insufficient.

Opinions:

I think that the job of an editor is one of the most important jobs of making a film.

Personally I think he did a good job editing Iron Man.

Question:

Why is it when it comes to editing the least amount of money is trying to be spent?

weekly commits

I learned this week that you can take even the most simplest sounds and create some pretty cool effects.
I hate how flashes always crashing on me and the longer and longer maternity sure becomes the slower and more time-consuming it takes to save my project and to export to quickly watch my movie in real-time.
I like how we are using the program audacity because before I even thought of joining this class I was already using a program that I was going to need know-how and knowledge on in the future and had that upper hand in the ability to use the program that even the big shots use.
I would love how to learn to make music in audacity and apply it to my projects.
I think this video because it's a great tutorial on how to use audacity and Tennessee some hidden features that you might use down the road. http://youtu.be/N7BuceavV-Y

The Makings of Disney's "Frozen"

Article:
Reading this article and watching the commercials on TV of Disney's new feature film frozen really got my attention Whysall the beautiful display of animation and background illustration in the scenery. By the looks of the Disney is diet again by making incredible feature film that will be added to the collection of Disney's fantastic display of animation. I guess in this TV show and which is one of the main characters is a strong, fearless Princess with power. And her sister is a wicked witch that controls the kingdom with her ice power. It seems like a very cool's subject which I'm very interested in watching. The CGI that appears to be in this movie must be tremendous in the article setup about 30 hours to render just one frame that's 4000 computers rendering one frame at a time that's incredible. The time and man hours that have gone into this film are just mind blowing I mean even in the article says that it took about 14 months just to get the final songs that's incredible 14 months for some songs in the movie that's just pure commitment and the love of animation and determination on their part and I applaud them for that.

Opinions:
If you did this is going to be another Walt Disney's beautiful works of art.
These movies that are coming out from Walt Disney with this brand-new technology and way of animation will stay with us for the years to come.

Question:
I like to know where they find the determination to do these projects?
The five east centrals of animating creatures.

Article:
Pixar takes pride in the way that the animated creatures. Many would say that they are in the master at adding real world strains on the way that they act. As in the article and in their movies you can just see the way that they add the correct amount of gravity and weight each individual character that they create. And in most importantly number five which would be interaction between characters is the most important part of animation if you can have two characters that don't interact with each other physically incorrectly that they wouldn't real world then you basically just have a crap movie. You really can see the time and effort that they really put in the characters especially on these little clips with in the article where when you see the normal speed and the ball down speed of this one creature you can just see the strain on the pulldown creature how he's affected by gravity and maybe another for an object pulling his body down well as the normal speed he must just be having  zero strain on his body.

Opinion:
I think that Pixar is doing a fantastic job on the five essentials of animation I think that they really hit this out of the park.
And I just think how they can just do it so effortlessly and this skill could take years of fine tuning in training just to have two hours of a film to be created.

Question:
I wonder how many years it takes to master the fundamentals of animation.

I have learned that it is very good to save many times during a project this flash will crash on you and you will lose all your stuff.
I hate how flash crashes unexpectedly and then just decides to be like hey lost all your stuff better start doing it again.
I would really love to learn how to create the illusion of real lightning being cast from someone. I think this video pertains to what we've been worrying about for the past week or so about physical animation and how gravity really is incorporated into a lot of animation and visual effects

Monday Mouse Watch: How the team behind Disney's "Get A Horse!" uses breakthrough technology to create the look of a 1928 short

Article:
Walt Disney is now coming out with the "get a horse" that is using breaking technology to treat the look of a 1928 short. By stepping back and looking back in their pass they are getting the idea that they can take create a modern-day film short and give it the look if an 1928 in 2013. This is really impressive even though many might think that it's easy just to slap the film into black-and-white but you really have to get that 1928 feel with the type of motion animation and style of drawing that they had back then that it seems today that we come on in  touch with it.
Opinions:
I think that this is a great idea to give the New World a taste of it's past.
Think that even though it seems easy it can be really hard which the article proves that it's not that easy just to slap some black-and-white on old TV show.
Question:
I wonder if many people are going to see this it since it's in black-and-white?!?

sony pictures: cloudy with a chances of meat balls 2

Article:
Even though i have not seen the second film of cloudy with a chance of meat balls. i heard by some friends that is was a good movie. and seeing some shots from the movies the way that they use the color and physical properties are really cool. in one of the videos in the article they where saying that they had to change the viscosity of the water to match coconut milk, maple syrup, & the jelly that strawberry poops out. and its just that attention to detail that just makes the film all in itself better. they also said that for the grass they did not just want green on the floor they wanted the look and feel of it as well. which i agree on that subject. Sony has really been making it big with these animated films taking in $35 million dollars in the first week that it was out. not bad for a sequel.

Options:
I did watch the first film and thought it was cute. when I saw that there was a second movie coming out i was a little skeptical that it was not going to be as good as the first.
I do think that the use of the coloring and physical properties where beautifully shown in this film.

Question:
I wonder if they will make a third one?

Not Just CGI: The Incredible Tech of Horror-Movie Monsters

Article:

people automatically think that all monsters are now created by a computer and special effects make-up is gone. well thats not the cast for some of the new films that have been released; such as World War Z,  A Nightmare On Elm Street, and Let Me In. we people see the movie World War Z and see all of the zombies a lot of those are a CGI but there was a lot of actors in makeup doing everything that the zombies are doing. there was also a lot of special effects make-up in the TV shows like ER. many film makes rather have the real this than just a CGI because if you have something tangible then you can see how it would really act under real world circumstances like gravity and temperature. but where make up and silicone cant go CGI's come in to fill in the holes.
And that is the great thing about this two techniques go hand in hand explained by Coulier "What can't be fixed in the physical world can often be smoothed out by digital technology. If production can't afford the finest wigs and makeup,  said, they often can afford digital touch-ups to improve the look."

Opinions:
I guess being a so called special effects make-up artist i absolute love creating monsters and creatures  lets me express my thoughts about certain things. And to in a cents unnatural things.
After working in the entreatments dept. at Darien Lake i learned how to do different things with latex and air brushes. and i just love how in this movies there is so much make-up art shown.

Question:
I wonder how to make latex water proof? one drop of H2O and comes right off.

Why are we so obsessed with things that want to eat our brains?

Zombie films have always been around stretching all way back to 80 years ago. They got their likeness of kind of like an alter ego to humanity. They show the darker kind aside to humans that just want to consume consume and heaven and listen need for having everything and anything that they see. This is displayed in many films like Zombieland world war Z & the T-virus and many more. Many filmmakers get the motivation and the way that they want to show the zombies moving from watching videos of crowds of people stampeding and running over one another try to get to the one item that they want which would be in the zombies mind chewing flash. But even though many people say that they do not like zombies America shows that we just want to see more and more movies of them and when a movie a new movie comes out with that in America will just eat it up like the zombies will do for themselves.

 Opinions:
Personally I hate zombie movies I've never liked them they always creep me out they've always give me nightmares around little kid and still hot my dreams to this day.
But after painting and creating a lot of zombies for my job at fright fest at Darien lake I kind of gotten over the fear of zombies even though I like in Hollywood magic they can make them look really realistic answer distilling Erie East sense to me about them so I roll really pay attention to them if they're in a movie but it's kind of lessens the fear in my mind about zombies.

Question:
I remember once watching a movie called the walking dead and a group of people work fighting off zombies that were walking so slow you could out run them by miles so my question is why in today's movies zombies have this superhero like superhero sense of running ability and jumping ability if back then when their first created they had a very fragile and a cute way of walking.
Do animated female characters need to be pretty?

Many believe that when they hear animated female they automatically assume that they're going to be tall skinny long exotic colored hair big breast and have all the wanted/ desires of a man's view on women.
Christine Panushka professor of animation at USC agree that humans people that are not caricatures are difficult to animate anyway. But is it is technically harder to animate a woman? People ask in terms of skeletons and muscles and how we move, they're the same Panushka said.
But by the looks of it it looks like they took the face of the main female character in tangled and just did some editing on the pigment of her face with the color of her eyes and adding freckles in low tones and just changed the name.

  Opinions:
Even tho I'm a guy I think that when I see animated female character with big breasts that it's really just a Sextus man behind and editing program creating what he wishes to see in all females.
And that I think that what Pixar is doing which is giving more movies with female leads that are animating dumb in not a sexist way – still shows beauty is a good way to get young girls confidence in the way they look.

Question:
Why is it that Pixar is making the female lead looks so identical?

Animated films is always been a popular subject with any type of person throughout the years many families have enjoyed the countless films I created like the iron giant the incredible's ratatouille turbo and many more with animation also comes the price of being too cheesy and/or being too animated for the person to really follow the story plot.
In my opinion I really like a good life person video with special facts I'm really not the person to go and watch a real big animated movie such as iron giant or ratatouille which also iron giant is when I favorite videos but I'm just not the person to go out and really put my heart and soul into watching all these different types animated movies I like to follow Harry Potter and twilight Saga's like those were their special facts book real life people. But I also do know that animated films are usually lumped together since technically they're the  only thing that's in common is the factor that they are produced via live action.

Opinions:
Again I'm really not a big animation fan but I do like watching him and just the display of color and secret nice sounds and music really drawn my attention to how amazing the films can be.
If I saw more action with special facts that look real it probably would be more appealing to my eye.

Question:
Why do animation videos get so bad reviews but also so good reviews is never like a happy medium
How so many rooted for breaking bad with Walter White

I'm really not sure how to start off this blog with the topic of how so many rooted for breaking bad with Walter White because I never watch the movie or TV show but I hear that a lot of people like it it's got a lot of reviews. So I guess breaking bad is a television show that is been on the air for quite a while and it's stars man named Walter White that plays the main character.
Another character is Margalo which is one of the handfuls of researchers were trying to figure out how movies and television manipulates thoughts and emotions for breaking bad he says the creator quickly build up a symphony for the nerdy chemistry teacher by letting us see the world full of obstacles thoughts through Walters eyes.
Breaking bad's plot with these points of view shot sequence from Walter's point of view they use that they use one of the most critical moments in the series when Walter finds out that he's dying of lung cancer.
Again I do feel really bad that I don't know anything about this TV show even though I've read this article I'm still very sketchy on how how this TV series is and I guess I just have to be a fan or person I just watched it to really get it because this is just confuse me so much.

Opinion:
Breaking bad seems like it's a good TV show really don't know what channel it is on but if I thought I wouldn't mind stopping and watching for little bit.
Even though I'm not one for emotional dramas I wouldn't mind looking into it. I'm more of educational A documentary person.

Question:
Why wouldn't Walter White take this TV series really run with it for a lot more serious I mean he could've gotten a good three or four more years out of this TV show.

 Storyboarding Tips from DreamWorks

Article 1

DreamWorks said that storyboarding plays  a big part in the movie making as pecked; an I completely agree. They say that "Though not entirely mandatory, storyboarding is one of those aspects of filmmaking that takes your film from the deep, dank, and dark recesses of your imagination and brings it to life in the here and now". In my personal point of view I feel that storyboarding is indeed important is a long and tedious processes. in the article it states that This is something that is easy to remember while shooting, but difficult while storyboarding. Setting up elements on all of these plains helps add depth, texture, and sense of location to your frame". with that said with the right eye and technological know how storyboarding would be a walk in the park.

Walt Disney and Jim Henson: So similar, so different

when you see with heading its like looking at an double side coin. on one hand they both created worlds of fantasies and mysteries. even though they both grow up in different life styles they have similar looks on the eschew that Walt had more of a straightforward as with Jim it more dark and sinister. But both care deeply about the entertament of children and the influence of the messages that they put in there films.

Opinions:
With Walt and Jim I see asset of twins with a similar look with two different personality's at can agree on some things.

I don't like to storyboarding be its a big part of the film making processes and its going to need to be done.

Question:

Why dose it take more time to storyboard and then make it straight out of you head?

How do film-makers manipulate our emotions with music?

Articles
1⃣. Filmmakers create emotions in the viewer through their films so they get a since of fear, anger, happiness, ect.  Max Steiner had composed the revolutionary score to King Kong in 1933. It was the first full Hollywood soundtrack, and one that allowed its fans to empathies with the fate of a plasticine gorilla. From my personal view I absolutely love sound and music scores and the effects that they have on humans emotions. One of my favorite music scores would be in the Harry Potter movies. I once saw a documentary on how they did a lot of their special effects on how they make the sound of the capes blowing in the wind. All of your brains are hardwired to recognize feelings emotions To certain sounds and feelings.
2⃣. Many films do not need sound to  to get their point through to the viewer. With the simple facial expressions and light effects. The big shoot film makers in Hollywood Perfected this art of movie making.

What I learned:
▪️I learned that sound can really affect the way someone looks and understands a part in a film.
▪️ I also leaned that you don't need sound to to have viewers feel certain emotion.
▪️and I other thing that I learned is that the right musical score can make or brake that film.

Opinion:
▪️I think that music has a big role in how the viewer understands the sene.
▪️it's to my understanding that if you have to much music scoring it could worsen or even completely destroy the film.

Question:
▪️why dose the way we understand certain sound with certain emotions.

Are Hollywood studios cranking out too many animated films?

Article:
  •       many people have been wondering if that has been just to many animated films coming out just one after another. and in the article this year dream works studio took a big hit when its latest movie turbo can out in June.

  •       another thing that learned from this article is that its just not dream works that is struggling its all of the big movie making studios. they will have be watching their next movie so they don't become yesterdays news. even Jeffrey Katzenberg said that" they have ran into and perfect storm of to many movies"

  •  With Jeffrey Katzenberg saying that there is to many movies coming movies coming, Wade Holden said that there needs to be many different movies out so the families can go out and throw there money to.

Opinions:

  • I think that they should do more like action and live movies like harry potter and the twilight saga. those where some of the best movies sagas that I have ever watched. and am very disappointed that they are over.

  • And as for everyone freaking out over the number of movies will be ok are they need to remember that its quality over quantity. and that's my two cents one that subject.
Question:

  • how come all of the big shoot movie producers fill the need to heir big name actors like Johnny deep in Jango and basically took all the profit from the film?
video clip
